|T-SHIRT & JACKET: c/o J. Lilly’s Boutique| |PANTS: Forever21| |SHOES: Converse| |SUNGLASSES: Amazon|
Who doesn’t love fun clothing items that are completely versatile? If you know me AT ALL, then you know that a clothing item must be able to be dressed up or down. T-shirts, even the most casual of them, can easily be made dressier. For instance, I paired this casual “THAT’S SO DOPE” tee from J. Lilly’s Boutique with a pair of pants and a nicer jacket and to make it more casual I paired them with a pair of old fashioned chucks. This could have been made dressier by simply wearing heels or flats rather than chucks.
What’s even better, if you aren’t from Oklahoma or aren’t in driving distance to J.Lilly’s Boutique, they just revamped and relaunched their website which makes it easy peasy for customers to order online! And for all you baby boomer’s out there who hate to order online, they use PayPal, which is completely safe and trustworthy (imo), so feel free to order away in complete confidence! ALSO, they are having FREE shipping throughout the entire month of April! Jump on that wagon and get to shopping! I hope you guys enjoy and don’t forget to check out J. Lilly’s Website!
Until next time…

|TOP: c/o Lush Fashion Lounge| |JEANS: J.Crew| |HAT: J.Crew| |RING: Silpada, similar here| |BOOTIES: Target| |LIPSTICK: Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Celebrity Skin|
This Easter, look your Sunday best or go Easter casual. Either way you can’t go wrong with the Easter collection that has now launched at Lush Fashion Lounge! They have every thing from vibrant floral dresses, to pastel cardigans and easy laid back flannels. I obviously went with the latter. The dresses were gorgeous and perfect for many occasions but the flannels were just screaming, “PICK ME PICK ME!” So that’s what I did.
I brought home this peach and blush flannel button up. When thinking about what I could pair with it, I first considered a black full scuba skirt which would have been ADORABLE however, I love me some high-waisted jeans and tucking the flannel in them was just perfection. I added black booties (not pictured) and it flowed ever so greatly. I highly recommend checking out this collection if you are on the hunt (see what I did there? Because you hunt for Easter eggs, get it?) for your Easter outfit!
Thank you to Lush for allowing me to collaborate with them and a big thank you to Sheen, the best photographer a fiancé could ask for. Until next time…

|sweater: Moon Cats| |jeans: Gap| |lipstick: Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in BAE|
Who doesn’t love a good cashmere sweater? Who doesn’t love an amazingly soft and comfrotable cashmere sweater? If you are one of those people, then this is the sweater for you. Moon Cats, who previously gifted me some amazing mittens in which I blogged about here, gifted me this sweater.
Who cares right? It’s JUST a sweater. Wrong. This sweater goes with anything and everything. I wear it to work with nice dress pants and a button up underneath or by its self with my faithful Madewell jeans. It fits true to size and hasn’t snagged or bunched up on me. It is a bit on the pricier side but you get what you pay for and this 100% cashmere is the cream of the crop. Oh and did I mention they gave me a coupon for my readers just use blushfordays10 for 10% or even better, take the 60 second Style quiz and get 20% off!
I hope you enjoyed today’s Style Sunday, until next time…

I am so thrilled to share this photo shoot with you guys! I was incredibly fortunate to get the opportunity to partner with Lush for a sneak peak of their new collection crush BY lush! They have an assortment of items from t-shirts, blouses, dresses, jackets, beanies, and leggings. So if you are need of a Valentine’s Day outfit for date night or a romantic night in, then you need to check out this collection (and everything else in the store because I promise, you can’t go wrong).
I chose this OKLAHOMA IS FOR LOVERS shirt. Unlike my makeup collection, I like to keep my style rather simple and not too loud 😉 . Knowing Sheen was going to be taking these pictures (unknowingly to her) I wanted her to be able to work with the pieces I chose. It has been blistering cold here in good ol’ OKC so grabbing this leather jacket was a no brainer. Once I showed the pieces to Sheen, she immediately had an idea of an old school Brooklyn look, which seemed fine and fun to me! How hard can it be to find graffiti and stairs right? Wrong! We found a great spot and chose a decently warmer day, but goodness gracious the WIND was not cooperating!
I love the way this leather jacket paired so well with this tee and my hat and beanie, and of course multiple sunglasses. This is an item that you can keep in your closest for years upon years because of its versatility and timelessness. In other words, it will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS be in style. You better believe this jacket will be worn with skinny jeans, a blouse and booties to dress it up. The outfit options are endless with this jacket.
This collection crush BY lush, launches tomorrow on Monday, January 25th at 10:00 a.m. CST. If you can’t swing by the store located in Edmond then check out their website shop.lushfashionlounge.com!
Just to show you how crazy the wind was, I leave you with this “lucky my hair didn’t get in my bubble gum” pic! Until next time…

It has been a long time coming (I wonder how many times I can say something of the sort on this blog), anyhow, I am back after a long period away. I’m not back with makeup or clothes but rather questions. Questions I get asked throughout the week, whether it’s from my co-workers, friends, fiancé, or family members. I get asked 3-4 questions a week regarding makeup (which I love). So I thought to myself, why not put them on the blog for all beauty lovers to hear the answers! Because sometimes I get asked the same question and granted, answers vary depending on the person (not because I like one more than the other but more so based off skin types; oily, dry, combo kapeesh?). So here we go on this weeks Q and A’s!
I need an eyeliner that won’t smudge from my water line, any suggestions?
Rather than trying to find that one in a million eyeliner that won’t stray from the water line, because there are few and far between, trust me. Try setting the eyeliner on your water line with a coinciding color of eyeshadow. So if you use a black eyeliner, use a black eyeshadow and a flat definer brush (like this one or this one) , and press, I repeat PRESS the powder onto the liner, setting it. DO NOT
SWEEP the eyeshadow, thank you so much.
I need a new mascara. I love the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara but can’t afford to keep purchasing it, what are the best drugstore alternatives?
These are not exact dupes by any means, but these are, imo (google imo if you don’t know what it means, that’s just how us young folk speak nowadays), the best ones at the drugstore. The Maybelline Lash Sensational, Maybelline Volum’ Express The Rocket, and L’Oréal Telescopic.
I need a new concealer, I need my FAVORITE beauty expert of all time to help me find a new one. HELP?! (more or less her words).
The Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Concealer and a more affordable option is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser and the Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer are both my favorite from the drugstore!
If you watch my YouTube videos, then you might have known some of these answers. If you aren’t subscribed, then what are you doing with your life? Go ahead and click this link, and click the little red button that says SUBSCRIBE. I’ll wait………… OMG THANK YOU! You’re now a true BFD fan!
Ok, that’s all for this weeks Q&A. If you have any questions you want answered, then email me, direct Message me, write me, contact me, you get it, just let me know! Until next time…

Where to begin? If you are an oh so faithful subscriber, then you will know that I’ve done a previous review on other Colourpop cosmetics, specifically their Lippie sticks (which are amazing) and did I mention ALL of their products are EXTREMELY affordable! Who doesn’t love a good buy for an awesome product? The Super Shock Cheek blushes and bronzers are $8 a pop (no pun intended), which is not that much more than one you would get from the drugstore. I actually saw a Rimmell bronzer the other day for over $9 so ha! And if you are new to the website and subscribe to their newsletter you get $5 coupon which pays for a Lippie stick, or more than half a blush/bronzer!
Ok, so the point of this post. Let’s dig in and get down to the nitty gritty. I’ll start with the blushes. First off, the formula of their products are so very unique, more so their eyeshadow and face products. They feel almost wet to the touch but then you swirl your finger in it and it feels almost mouse like. It’s so interesting and I really do love it! I picked up two really vibrant colors since we are heading into summer and I typically wear more rosy/muted blushes. The color ‘GET LEID‘ is a beautiful bright orange/coral and looks amazeballs on tan skin. The other color “EARLY BIRD‘ is hot rosy pink. I love love love this color, this looks great on fairer skin and tanner skin so it’s a win win for me. This gives you the look as if you’ve been outside running and have a flush to your cheeks. Although they look as if you could get really carried away really easily, they actually are more build-able and are so easy to work with. I find that using a regular blush brush doesn’t really do the job like I want so I suggest these two ways: 1) the good ol’ fashion finger tip. Swirl your finger into the product, pick up the desired amount and dab onto your cheeks and blend out using the warmth of your fingers and voila! 2) use a stippling brush, like this one or this one. Dab your brush in it, and blend it onto your cheeks.
Now onto the bronzers. I got POOLSIDE and HAPPY HOUR. Poolside is the lighter one and goes on so natural looking and is a satin finish. Meaning it’s not matte but it’s not shimmery so it will give a more of natural looking skin finish. Happy Hour is the darkest shade of the 6 or 7 bronzers that they have and I was kind of hesitant after I saw it in person and how dark it actually is BUT I love it! Even more so than Poolside. Happy Hour is a matte finish and builds up so easily so you can’t go overboard unless you are smothering it all over. But sometimes I think I want to smother myself in it because I love it that much. I want to put it all over my face, all over my body, I want to brush my teeth with it, bathe in it, travel the world with it. Ok ok ok I’m getting carried away but you get it right? To apply these I would recommend just the stippling brush only because it gives a smoother finish.
I have had both bronzers and the blushes on combination and it’s just my fav for the time being. So are they worth the $8? HELL YES.
p.s. Go check out my Youtube channel and see these products in action!
Until next time…
