I didn’t post reviews on my January favorites but I definitely wanted to post some on February’s. Let’s just jump right into it shall we?
This duo is what I have been using non-stop for sculpting (contouring) my cheeks, almost every day. This Real Techniques brush is from their new Bold Metals collection. At first, I was a little skeptical because I didn’t hear very good reviews on this brush but I had to try it for myself. I’m glad I did because this blends out cream contours like a dream (not so much on powder). The foundation stick is perfect for creating the perfect line right under your jaw bone. I’m pretty fair this winter so this color is just a tad too warm for me at the moment but I make it work because I love it that much!
This foundation is something to brag about (not that I made it but you get the point). Maybelline hit the jack pot with this formula. For me, good drugstore foundations are hard to come by. They are either too drying or too dewy and for my oily/combo skin. It takes something like a miracle to actually enjoy it and this foundation is it. So if your skin is anything like mine, you will love this.
For the last 4 or 5 months I have been loving cool toned shadows. Which is shocking because I have never loved anything but warmer tones. This Naked 2 basics is the perfect cool yet warm tone eye shadow palette. Not to mention it is amazing for the every day makeup and is so easy to make it night-time appropriate as well. I love having pallets because you only have to reach for one thing rather than a shadow from here and a shadow from there, so on and so forth. If you’re looking for a great neutral palette, I HIGHLY recommend this one.
You guys already know I have a slight addiction to lip balms and/or chapsticks. There’s a reason for it I swear. If I didn’t purchase these random buys then I would NEVER know if the product was worth it and I wouldn’t be able to tell you guys about it. Let me shout this from the rooftops, THIS ONE IS THE REAL DEAL. OMG. Don’t get me wrong, I love love love my Fresh Beauty Lip Balms but this one is truly amazing. I have been wearing this through out the night and then to prep my lips in the morning and my lipsticks are so much less drying and my lips just feel 100 x’s better over all. Run. Don’t walk, don’t jog, but run to get this lip balm.
First off, this polish is exactly what I have been looking for. It is not too pink but just sheer enough to give the perfect amount of color. Not only that, but it claims to “nourish, strengthen and protect” all in one coat and I believe it. My nails, with as much as I paint them and remove the polish and paint them and remove, etc., they need some nourishing but it rives me too crazy not to have them painted. I love this formula and I really want all of the other colors. Ever since I watched Young, Wild and Polished video on how to clean up your nails after painting them (click here and thank me later) (she’s an incredible nail painter/pro), I immediately went and bought this brush and haven’t let go since. Honestly, I use this brush every single time I paint my nails and I will never ever ever go without. It is the perfect clean up brush.
What were some products you loved throughout February? Let me know if you would like an in-depth post over how I highlight and contour, I would love to post one for ya’ll! Until next time..
