It is that time of the month, no no no not THAT time, the fun time! The time for my monthly favorites! I personally love watching and reading others posts about what they are loving. I like learning about products I haven’t heard about or a small review on why I should go out and buy something this instance. How do you guys feel about these posts? Love them, hate them, meh? LET A GIRL KNOW. Me, being said girl. I thank you in advance. Wellllll, not only is this a favorites of the products I have been loving and overusing this month but it is a collaboration with my fellow blogger and long time friend, Caitlyn from the blog Can Do, Cait. If ya’ll haven’t read her blog yet, I highly recommend it. She is a yoga instructor, dog walker, fitness coach and probably a few other things I’m leaving off the list and not to mention she’s doing all of this all while in graduate school and to top it off because she just wasn’t busy enough went and started a fitness blog! She incorporates her love of fitness and exercise into her blog and gives great workout plans and exercises along with healthy recipes and tips for eating right. Like myself, she also has a special love for makeup and will soon be incorporating beauty into her blog as well which I absolutely can’t wait for. So after you are done checking out my monthly beauty favorites, head over to Can Do, Cait and find out what her monthly favorite exercise and recipes she has been loving.

Believe it or not, I did an August favorites video but it wasn’t Sheen approved and even thought I wanted to post it I though,”Mmm, betta not.” So this is a version combined of August and September Favorites (lucky dog, you). I first want to start with foundation. I have been LOVING the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Foundation. This is a wonderful foundation for days when you don’t really need a lot of coverage but still feel like putting on a face. It is oil-free so it helps us oily girls stay matte even longer. I do find myself blotting throughout the day but I’m not looking like a disco ball or anything.
I don’t know if ya’ll have heard or not, but the 90’s are back. Not the neon 90’s, the grunge 90’s with the brown lipsticks and smokey eyes. Just picture Rachel from Friends when the show first started and that’s what I am talking about. I said all of that to say this, I found a blush that can compliment this makeup look amazingly. It is the MAKE UP FOREVER HD Cream Blush in 210. It is a Mauve/taupe type color and just gives a bit of color to the cheeks. The thing about these blushes, although pricey they stay ALL DAY and are so very blend-able.
To go along with the 90’s look, I have been loving doing a taupe eye with just mascara. I’m not kidding, I have worn this little combo almost every single day in September. ALMOST. To accomplish the look, I use the MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Shadows in colors S-642, M-548,M-600. I bought the triple compact because that was the best deal and the more the merrier. Yes, again MUFE is a pricey brand but you get so much bang for your buck. These eye shadows are double the size of MAC singles and let’s be honest, you will not run out of these any time soon.
Now for the best part, can you guess it? LIPS. I have been loving lots of different lippies but to keep this reasonable I’m only go to tell you about 7. Jk Jk. Just 4. Let’s start off with this Gerard Cosmetics lipstick in 1995. This was created by Jaclyn Hill , the very popular and gorgeous YouTube sensation for makeup tutorials and such. Kylie Jenner was her inspiration for this color and damn, she did an awesome job with it. It is honestly the most perfect 90s brown based color lipstick (hence the name, 1995). It has a bit of a rose/brown undertone but the best thing is that it is totally wearable and people won’t be looking at you thinking,”Why does that girl look like she just ate chocolate?” If you use the code JACLYN you will receive 25% off your order, you can’t NOT buy it now.
This next brand will come as no surprise, the Bite Beauty lipsticks and lip pencils are all the rage these days. If you haven’t jumped on this band wagon, you are truly missing out. They just recently released 12 new Matte Creme Lip crayons colors and my goodness, they are to die for. My three favorites are Aubergine (described as eggplant), Glace (dusty mauve), and Amaretto (peachy nude).
I hope you all enjoyed my monthly favorites and be sure to let me know what some of your favorites are or if you decide to check out some of mine that I have been loving by using the hashtag #blushfordays. Also, don’t forget to check out the fabulous blog Can Do, Cait! Until next time fellow beauties…
