It’s all fun and games

…until you put cuticle cream on your lips. That’s right. This is my funny story and little insight to what it’s like in a typical day of my ungraceful, sporadic and at times down right silly self.

Alright, so here we go. It’s a Manic Monday and I had time to kill before class so what do I do? Of course I have to go to Sephora to see what’s new in stock and how could I forget?! They carry the DIOR Rose lip balm that I have been anxiously waiting to get my hands on. So I get to the Christian Dior section. NOOOOOO, they are completely out of the CD Rose lip balm. They usually have a tester out which comes in a white plastic pot with baby pink sheer balm inside and even that was gone! “Could this Monday get any worse??” I think to myself. But wait, what’s that?! A coral/apricot balm type in a white plastic pot JUST like the Rose lip balm. OMG this is even better! I love the color even more than the rose and woooowwww it is so incredibly smooth on the lips. As I pick one up to purchase and just continuing browsing a Sephora worker comes over and asks if I need any help. “As a matter of fact, I noticed you were out of the Rose lip balm. Is there anymore in stock?” I ask her. As she proceeds to look through the bottom drawers, I’m just rubbing my lips together thinking how even if they are out, I will be more than content with this new balm!
“No, sorry all we have is the Apricot cuticle cream and you sure wouldn’t want that on your lips!” she says as I ever so smoothly wipe my lips off on my hand. That’s right. Cuticle cream, on my lips. Not my finest hour.

As I tell Sheena the story a week or so later, I am in tears laughing because I just couldn’t get over the fact that I put cuticle cream on my lips. LOL. So a future tip, when swatching and testing, be sure you are aware of what you are getting and what you are putting where!

Well, if nothing else in your day goes right, I hope this gave you a good little giggle. Sometimes, you just have to laugh at yourself because nobody’s perfect. “Don’t let comparison steal your joy”. Such a strong statement and something to remember! Happy Weekend Friends. Until next time 🙂
